Define Discount Name and Description
Enter a clear, descriptive name for your discount (e.g., "Spring Early Bird Offer", "Weekend Adventure Sale").
Optionally, add an internal description to provide context for your team regarding the discount's purpose or target audience. This information is for internal organisation only and will not be displayed to guests.
Select Discount Type
Choose the appropriate discount type:
Percentage Discount: Applies a percentage reduction to the experience's original price (e.g., 15% off).
Fixed Amount Discount: Applies a specific monetary reduction to the experience's original price (e.g., $20 off).
Set New Price: Overrides the experience's original price with a specific promotional price.
Specify Discount Value
Based on your selected discount type, enter the corresponding value (e.g., "15" for a 15% discount, "20" for a $20 fixed amount discount, or "80" for a new price of $80).
Assign Applicable Experiences/Services
Determine which experiences or services this discount will apply to. You can:
Select specific experiences from a dropdown list.
Apply the discount to an entire experience category.
Apply the discount to all available experiences and services.
Be precise in this step to ensure the discount applies to the correct experiences.
Configure Eligibility Criteria (Optional)
Establish conditions under which the discount applies:
Minimum Quantity: Require a minimum number of items to be purchased for the discount to activate.
Minimum Spend: Set a minimum total booking value for the discount to be valid.
Specific Booking Dates: Restrict the discount to bookings made within a defined date range.
Specific Travel Dates: Restrict the discount to travel or experience dates falling within a defined period.

Start Date and Time: The exact moment the discount becomes active.
End Date and Time: The exact moment the discount expires.
It is crucial to accurately synchronise these times with your promotional campaigns.
Define Usage Limits (Optional)
Control the overall application of the discount:
Maximum Uses: Limit the total number of times the discount can be used across all guests.
Uses Per Guest: Limit the number of times a single guest can use the discount.
Generate Promotional Code (Optional)
If the discount requires a code for use, select the "Require Promotional Code" option.
The system will automatically generate a unique code, or you can input a custom code (e.g., "SAVE15SPRING").
Ensure the code is easy to remember if it is to be widely distributed.
Review and Activate
Carefully review all set up settings to ensure accuracy.
Once satisfied, click Save or Activate to deploy the discount.
The discount will become active according to its scheduled start date and time.
Tips
Strategic Planning: Align your discount strategy with broader marketing goals. Determine the objective of each promotion (e.g., increasing off-peak bookings, clearing inventory, rewarding loyal guests) before configuration.
Clear Communication: Ensure all terms and conditions, including eligibility criteria, start/end dates, and any required codes, are clearly communicated to guests through your marketing channels. Ambiguity can lead to guest dissatisfaction.
Monitor Performance: Regularly review the performance of active discounts. Track use rates, revenue generated, and impact on experience popularity to inform future promotional strategies.
Avoid Over-Discounting: While discounts can drive sales, excessive or perpetual discounting can undermine your experiences and erode profit margins. Use them strategically and sparingly.
Test Configurations: Before launching a discount publicly, perform internal testing to ensure it applies correctly and functions as intended, especially for complex conditional rules.
Review and Update: Periodically review your discount portfolio. Deactivate expired or underperforming promotions to maintain a clean and effective promotional environment.
