Accessing this feature

To configure booking buffer times within the Tourism Accelerator platform, navigate through the following path: Select Settings from the main navigation menu. Proceed to Booking Management . Access Buffer Time Configuration to manage and define your buffer settings.

How to use it

Implementing buffer times effectively involves a series of clear steps:

  1. Navigate to Configuration: Access the Buffer Time Configuration section using the steps outlined in "Accessing This Feature". This interface provides the central control for all buffer-related settings.

  2. Select Service or Resource: Identify the specific service, tour, accommodation unit, or resource that requires buffer time. This allows for granular control, enabling different buffer settings for a guided walking tour versus a multi-day package, or a specific vehicle versus a kayak rental, ensuring precision in operational planning.

  3. Define Buffer Duration: Specify the required time in minutes or hours. For example, a 30-minute buffer may be necessary for cleaning and sanitizing a glamping tent between guests, or a 15-minute buffer for a tour guide to transition equipment and brief the next group for consecutive short tours.

  4. Determine Application Type: Choose whether the buffer applies before a booking (for preparation tasks), after a booking (for cleanup, debriefing, or travel to the next location), or both. This flexibility ensures all operational requirements are met across the entire booking lifecycle.

  5. Implement Conditional Logic (Optional): Use advanced options to apply different buffer times based on specific conditions. This could include varying buffers for peak season versus off-peak, different days of the week, specific staff members, or distinct booking types (e.g., a longer buffer for a large group booking compared to an individual booking).

  6. Review and Save
