The Data Synchronisation Dashboard monitors data flow between Tourism Accelerator Launchpad and your integrated systems. This ensures accurate availability across all platforms, helping prevent overbookings. For example, you can quickly identify and resolve issues that cause incorrect availability being displayed on your website.

How to use it
When encountering data synchronisation problems, follow these steps to diagnose and resolve the issue:
Review the Data Synchronisation Dashboard: Access the Data Synchronisation Dashboard as described above.
Identify any integrations displaying an Error or Warning status.
Note the last successful synchronisation time and any error messages displayed directly on the dashboard. These messages often provide a preliminary indication of the problem's nature.
Examine Detailed Activity Logs: From the Data Synchronisation Dashboard, click on the specific integration experiencing issues.
Locate and open the Activity Logs or Error Logs section for that integration.
Filter logs by date and error type to pinpoint recent failures.
Look for specific error codes, descriptions, or data points that failed to synchronise. Common errors include authentication failures, API rate limits exceeded, data validation errors, or network connectivity issues.
Verify External System Connectivity and Credentials: Confirm that the external system (e.g., your guest management system, booking platform, or accounting software) is online and accessible.
Ensure that the API keys, tokens, or login credentials used for the integration within the platform are current and valid for the external system. Expired passwords or revoked API access are frequent causes of sync failures. If credentials have changed, update them in the Integration Settings section and attempt to re-synchronise.
Manually Trigger Synchronisation: For integrations that support it, initiate a manual synchronisation cycle from the Data Synchronisation Dashboard. This can sometimes resolve transient network issues or clear pending data queues.
Monitor the dashboard and logs closely after a manual trigger to observe if the synchronisation completes successfully or if new errors emerge.
Address Data Discrepancies and Conflicts: If logs indicate data validation errors or conflicts (e.g., duplicate records, missing mandatory fields, incompatible data types), identify the specific records involved.
Manually correct the conflicting data in either the platform or the external system, depending on which system is considered the authoritative source for that data point. After correction, re-attempt synchronisation for the affected records or trigger a full synchronisation if necessary.
Review System Limits and Quotas: Some external APIs impose rate limits on the number of requests that can be made within a given timeframe. Check the documentation for the integrated system's API limits. If logs show "rate limit exceeded" errors, the integration may need to be reconfigured for slower synchronisation intervals or batch processing if available.
Check Network and Firewall Settings: Ensure that your network or firewall settings are not blocking communication between the platform and the external system's API endpoints. If your organisation uses strict network policies, consult with your IT department to whitelist necessary IP addresses or domains.
Tips
Regularly review the Data Synchronisation Dashboard and activity logs to catch warnings early.
Ensure all integrated external systems are operational and properly configured.
Keep all API keys, tokens, and user credentials for integrated systems up-to-date.
Clearly define the primary source for each data set to prevent conflicts.
Periodically audit key data points across integrated systems to verify consistency.
