Accessing this feature

This feature does not have a specific access path. It is a set of troubleshooting steps.

How to use it

Follow these numbered steps to diagnose and resolve page loading errors:

  1. Verify Internet Connection: Ensure your device has a stable and active internet connection. Test by accessing other websites or applications. A weak or intermittent connection is a frequent cause of loading failures. If you are on Wi-Fi, try connecting via an Ethernet cable if possible, or move closer to your router.

  2. Refresh the Page: A page refresh can often resolve temporary loading issues. Use the browser's refresh button or press F5 (Windows) / Command + R (Mac) to reload the page. This forces the browser to re-request all page elements.

  3. Clear Browser Cache and Cookies: Outdated or corrupted cached data and cookies can interfere with page rendering. Regularly clear your browser's cache and cookies to prevent outdated data from causing conflicts.

  4. Try an Alternative Browser or Incognito/Private Mode: Test if the issue persists in a different web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari) or in your current browser's incognito/private browsing mode. This helps determine if the problem is specific to your primary browser's configuration or extensions. Incognito mode typically disables extensions and uses a clean cache.

  5. Disable Browser Extensions: Browser extensions can sometimes conflict with website scripts, leading to loading errors. Temporarily disable all browser extensions and then re-enable them one by one to identify any conflicting add-ons. Manage browser extensions by only installing essential ones and periodically reviewing them for relevance and potential conflicts.

  6. Check the System Status Dashboard: Refer to the System Status Dashboard to check for any reported outages or performance issues affecting the Tourism Accelerator platform. If an incident is active, information regarding resolution times will be provided. Monitor the System Status Dashboard for any scheduled maintenance or known incidents.

  7. Restart Your Device and Router: A full restart of your computer or mobile device, along with your internet router/modem, can resolve underlying network or system conflicts that may be preventing pages from loading correctly. Power off your router for 30 seconds before powering it back on.

  8. Verify the URL: Confirm that the URL you are attempting to access is correct and free of typos. An incorrect or malformed URL will result in a "Page Not Found" or similar error.

  9. Temporarily Disable Firewall or Antivirus Software: In some cases, security software can block legitimate web content. Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus program and attempt to load the page. If the page loads, re-enable your security software and adjust its settings to allow access to the Tourism Accelerator platform. Exercise caution when disabling security features.

  10. Test on Another Device or Network: Attempt to access the page from a different device (e.g., another computer, tablet, or smartphone) or by connecting to a different network (e.g., a mobile hotspot). This helps to isolate whether the issue is specific to your current device or network environment.

  11. Regularly Update Your Browser: Ensure your web browser is always running the latest version to benefit from security patches and performance improvements. Use a supported browser to ensure you are using a modern, officially supported web browser for the best experience and compatibility.

  12. Maintain a Stable Internet Connection: Prioritise a reliable and consistent internet connection, especially when working with data-intensive applications.

  13. Keep Device Software Up-to-Date: Ensure your operating system and device drivers are current to avoid underlying system conflicts.

Tips

  • Check the Tourism Accelerator's social media channels for announcements about outages.

  • Keep your browser updated for optimal performance.

  • Ensure your computer meets the minimum system requirements for the platform.

  • If the problem persists, try a different network connection.
